THUNDER OVER LOUISVILLE - Saturday, April 17th, 2009.  Last year we chose to watch Thunder with the Kids from the Louisville Science Center!  It was certainly one of the best fireworks displays ever! We highly recommend this for anyone with Kids that want to avoid the pushing of the crowds! There was SO much to do and we had a covered spot for the show. (Not that it was needed since it was beautiful!) and security was great so we never felt crowded.  Quite a chore with over 700,000 people attending this year!  Check out these "Official" Pictures from Mont! from Thunder 2007!

April 20th, 2002 was a super special Thunder for the ChicKenWarrioR! CW was officially taken "off-the market" when he proposed to his Sweetie Melissa on the Top Floor Balcony of the Harbors in Indiana overlooking the Ohio River right in the middle of THUNDER!  The 7th anniversary of their first date was on Thunder 2009.  All are welcome to join in the excitement! On Saturday, April 18th the Derby Festival Opening Ceremonies will kick-off with the return of Thunder Over Louisville.  The World's most  unique fireworks and light extravaganza, it is still the best and you can only see it here in Louisville! (Or across the river in Jeffersonville...)

136th Running of THE KENTUCKY DERBY - Saturday, May 01, 2010  Congratulations to Kentucky Derby 135 Winner Mine that Bird in 2009! It was exciting to watch with this longshot coming in at 50-1. A $2 paid out $103.20.  The Derby Festival proudly celebrates the 136th running of the The Kentucky Derby. Through a looking glass, under a mystical bridge, over an enchanted swamp…however you arrive in Key West for Fantasy Fest 2007 you will be welcomed by all-knowing gnomes, twirling toads and white rabbit tea parties from October 19 – 28, 2007. Open the closet door, look under the bed and turn off your nightlight. Your childhood monsters may look a bit more enticing this time around. Conjure your fantasies or merry myths and pull forth a princess from your childhood dreams or that adventure through sugarplum forests…and where did I put my delightfully dazzling dragon?  The 2008 Theme was: Pirates, Pundits and Political Party Animals. The 2009 Theme was:  Villains, Vixens and Vampires. AND Finally...The 2010 Theme is Habitat for Insanity!

Our wish for Halloween 2010 is to put together the old crew for a 10 year reunion trip!  Leave the kiddos and pack up for 1 more Fantasy Fest!  The hurricanes in 2006 put a damper on all the fun, so we'll we observing with a cautious eye.  See the Warrior for details....
